Ariel Berkowitz has been an adjunct professor with IBEX since 1995. His area of specialty is Jewish history, thought and culture, and Torah. Ariel is also an instructor with Torah Resources International. He taught at Israel College of Bible from 1992-2006. He and his wife Devorah moved to Israel as citizens in 1992, from the USA. They have four children and two grandchildren. Their family home is near Jerusalem.
Benjamin Foreman

Benj has lived most of his life outside the United States. He was born in France and spent his early years there as an MK. When he was ten he moved to the States. His interest in the Old Testament took him to Israel, where he completed his Master’s degree, and where he met his wife Yael. His doctoral work was done in Scotland on the use of metaphor in the Old Testament. He has recently begun working on a project which examines the earliest Hebrew translations of the New Testament. Benj and Yael have one son named Yair (Hebrew for “Let him shine the light”).
William Schlegel

Bill has lived in Israel since 1984. He served on the administrative staff and faculty of Jerusalem University College (formerly the Institute of Holy Land Studies) from 1987-1995. He has been with The Master’s College – IBEX since 1995. Bill’s teaching interests include biblical history, geography, satellite mapping, and Hebrew. He lives at the IBEX campus with his wife, Stephanie, and their five children: Rachel, Zach, Isaiah, Eitan and Sarah.

Dr. Sigler is Associate Professor of Hebrew and Biblical Studies at Moody Bible Institute of Chicago. During his sabbatical from teaching responsibilities at Moody (2009-2010), he is in Israel working on various writing projects (including contributions to the forthcoming Moody Bible Commentary) and will be teaching the Biblical Archaeology course for IBEX. He is a member of the Near East Archaeological Society, the American Schools of Oriental Research, and the Society of Biblical Literature. He and his wife Bernice are thrilled that their three children will experience Israel during this academic year.
Erez Bar-David
Adjunct Instructor, Modern History of Israel
M.A. (in progress) University of Joensuu, Finland
Erez is a Jewish believer, born and raised in Israel. He is a veteran of the Israeli army. He has studied English and history, and works as a licensed Israeli tour guide. He lives near the IBEX campus with his wife, Satu, and their two children.
