The day began early with breakfast and loading the bus.

Mt. Carmel is known for its beautiful forests and greenery.

Studying the account of the showdown between Elijah and the prophets of Baal,

we could see a probable location for the event just in front of Troy and Peter.

On Mt. Carmel, we saw a rolling stone tomb...

Naturally, we had to go investigate;

climb through...

sit in it...

and be photographed in front of it (the rest of the students are inside the tomb).

Looking at the model of Megiddo prepared us to see the ruins.

Brittany and Noel in the Canaanite gate.

We also saw a Solomonic gate.

Sitting in the mangers of the storehouses/stables.

Randy and Rachel in the Megiddo water system.

At Ein Harod, God helped Gideon choose 300 men to fight the Midianites.

Caleb, Karen, and Whit at the spring.

On the Nazareth Ridge...

with a view of Mt. Tabor and Mt. Moreh.

David sits on the Arbel cliffs overlooking the Sea of Galilee.

Sara and Caleb look down on the Plain of Genessaret.

Hiking down the cliff.

At the end of the climb, Randy bought us all ice cream.

Caitlin enjoyed her popsicle.

The day ended with a swim in the Sea of Galilee.
